INTERNATIONAL CHRISTMAS CHARITY BAZAAR A 1MK le 2 novembre
MALAYSIAN COUNCIL FOR REHABILITATION will be organizing
this International Christmas Charity Bazaar with the support of Mindspace to raise funds for the Rumah Amal

A national non-governmental organization was established
in 1973 to coordinate the work of rehabilitation for Persons with Disabilities (PWDS)
in Malaysia. The mission of the Council is to provide support and collaborative
efforts in fostering the implementation of services for the disabled which will
equip them with appropriate skills though rehabilitation, education, and
vocational training programmes.
Rumah Amal Cheshire (RACS) or Selangor Cheshire Home was
set up in 1963. The home provides residential care to 50 residents living with
any form of permanent disability who and had little to no means of income,
irrespective of their racial and religious backgrounds.
From 2007 the home embarked on EEP (Economic Empowerment
Programme) in line with the United Nation Convention Rights of Persons with
disabilities, this initiative is to open training and employment for youths
with learning disabilities.
Is a world vocational skills competition for persons with
disabilities which have to overturn traditional view on the potential and
abilities of person with disabilities, resulting in increased employment
opportunities and vocational stability. The first International Abilympics was
held in Tokyo Japan in 1981. The last was held in 2016 in Bordeaux France.
Malaysian Council for Rehabilitation is a member of the
International Abilympics Federation championing the aspiration of Abilympics in
the local context . We are national
coordinator in selecting qualified PWDs to represent Malaysia in the
International Abilympics competition.
